Live heart rate on the workout screen

Cubex Fitness reads heart rate from your phone's health platform — Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android — and shows it live during your session, with your training zone. Your health data stays on your device; the app has no server and no account.

⌚ You need something that measures pulse: an Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, or any fitness band/watch that writes heart rate into Apple Health or Health Connect. The phone alone can't measure your pulse.

iPhone — Apple Health

  1. Open Cubex Fitness → on the Dashboard, find the Vitals card and tap Continue.
  2. iOS shows the Apple Health permission sheet: enable Heart Rate (and Steps if you want the step goal) → Allow.
  3. That's it. Your watch keeps writing pulse to Apple Health as usual; Cubex reads it live during workouts.

Changed your mind later? Manage it in Profile → Health data inside the app, or in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access.

Android — Health Connect

  1. Make sure Health Connect is on your phone (newer Android versions ship with it; otherwise it's free on Google Play).
  2. Open Cubex Fitness → Dashboard → Vitals card → Continue.
  3. Health Connect asks which data Cubex may read: allow Heart rate (plus Steps, Distance, Active calories if you want the full dashboard).

Samsung Health & Galaxy Watch

Works well — verified on Galaxy Watch + Samsung phones. The chain is: Galaxy Watch → Samsung Health → Health Connect → Cubex.

  1. In Samsung Health: Settings → Health Connect → turn on syncing (heart rate, steps).
  2. Then do the Health Connect steps above.
  3. Wear the watch during your workout — your pulse shows up live on the Cubex session screen.
